Art Gallery Exhibit – “Every Picture Tells a Story,” May 28 – June 25, Exhibit by Jana Jones
St. George’s Art Gallery, St George’s Episcopal Church, 2425 S. Germantown Road, Germantown, TN 38016
Jana Jones describes herself as an artist, nurse, and politically incorrect student of life. She began her painting journey in 2018 and is completely self-taught, working primarily in watercolor and pastels – both soft and oil pastels. A native Memphian, Jana works in health care administration and is dediated to the patients she serves. Painting provides her with a creative outlet to relieve the stresses of the day. The studio is her happy place.
Jana believes inspiration is always there for anyone who looks for it, arising from a window view, a cherished memory, or perhaps a mischievous smile. “My sincere wish is for the audience to experience the same pleasure in viewing as I did in creating.”
Please note: a portion of the proceeds from sales in The Gallery supports the work of Carpenter Art Garden, which brings the arts to the underserved Binghampton community. St. George’s Art Gallery is located within St. George’s Episcopal Church and is accessed through the front doors. The Gallery is open M – F from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
