SUMMARY:Dr. Pierre-Marie Woolley to visit West Tennessee
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Pierre-Marie Woolley to visit West Tennessee\nApril 11–12   \nThe West Tennessee Haiti Partnership (WTHP) — a ministry of the Diocese of West Tennessee that supports St. Vincent’s Center for Handicapped Children in Port-au-Prince — will host trauma surgeon Pierre‑Marie Woolley during a special visit to West Tennessee this April. WTHP’s work brings hope and healing to children with physical challenges — including blindness\, deafness\, and mobility impairments — by raising funds for education\, healthcare\, food\, clean water\, and specialized clinic staff. \nDr. Woolley is a trauma and orthopedic surgeon who travels between his family home in Miami and Port-au-Prince\, where he serves in the only fully functioning hospital in the Haitian capital. His work includes treating victims of gun violence amid intense gang activity\, as well as performing limb-correction and other reconstructive surgeries for children supported by St. Vincent’s. Since 2014\, Dr. Woolley has served without salary at the St. Vincent clinic\, where he was Medical Director from 2015 to 2018 and continues as a long-standing member of the Board of Directors. In this role\, he has helped countless children with disabilities and deformities\, offering skilled and compassionate care even amid periods of social instability\, mass-casualty events\, and ongoing humanitarian crisis in Haiti.\n\nSaturday\, April 11 \nMorning Prayer & Hope and Food Ministry — 9:00 a.m.\nSt. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral: 692 Poplar Ave. (Memphis)\n\nSunday\, April 12\nPresentation during Sunday School — 9:30 a.m.\nSt. Philip’s Episcopal Church: 9380 Davies Plantation Rd. (Bartlett)\nLunch & Presentation (following the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist) — noon\n\nSt. Andrew’s Episcopal Church: 106 Walnut St. (Collierville)\nAll are invited to hear Dr. Woolley’s witness of compassionate service\, resilience\, and healing.
