Education for Ministry (EfM) was founded in 1975 at the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. For 50 years, over 120,000 people have learned about Scripture, Christian tradition, their faith and each other in small groups in West Tennessee and around the world.

Since last year there is a revised curriculum with new materials, and there are more options to participate.
For most of its existence EfM has been a four-year program. Now there is also a “Wide Angle,” one-year option that is ideal for people wanting to give EfM a try in a shorter format or for graduates who miss the EfM community and want to come back.
