National Day of Racial Healing Creator Space

Explore how art can provoke truth-telling, curiosity, and pathways toward racial healing. On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, join us for an evening Creator Space marking the National Day of Racial Healing, offered by the West Tennessee Becoming Beloved Community Commission. We will begin with a guided group reflection, inviting participants to “read” a piece of artwork through quiet meditation and shared conversation.
Participants of all ages are invited to share their own creative responses to racial healing in our local context. Artwork, poetry, writing, music, and personal reflections are welcome. You may come ready to share or simply to listen.
This gathering is open to all ages, faiths, and backgrounds. Come as you are, bring what you have, and join us in creating space for reflection, connection, and hope.
“The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you alter, even by a millimeter, the way people look at reality, then you can change it.” -James Baldwin
