Dyersburg First United Methodist Church, serving as the host church, is partnering with St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and other Dyer County churches and community organizations to launch an innovative, faith-based respite program called Happy Friends.
Happy Friends will provide a welcoming, social program for friends in the early stages of dementia while offering structured, meaningful relief for their caregivers.
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and organized leader to help develop and launch this important new ministry.
Are you someone who can:
- Cultivate a professional, compassionate, and welcoming environment for people living with dementia?
- Build strong relationships with churches, community partners, and other organizations while helping with fundraising efforts?
- Recruit, train, support, and manage volunteers?
- Help develop and coordinate meaningful programs and activities for participants?
Position & Application Details
- Starting pay: $20 per hour, for up to an initial 10 hours per week
- Anticipated program launch: Early 2027
