A Message to the Diocese Regarding Staff Transitions

Dear Diocese of West Tennessee community:

The Rev. Canon Sharon Alexander, a valued member of the diocesan leadership team over the past four years, is concluding her tenure as Canon to the Ordinary in the Diocese of West Tennessee. Sharon is currently off for Christmas and plans on moving back home to Texas in the new year.

In January 2024, information will be provided about the persons who will assume interim responsibility for key areas that the Canon to the Ordinary oversees, including the ordination process, congregations and clergy in transition, Safe Church issues, and the small church initiative.

Sharon has asked that we share the following letter with the Diocese:

Dear Friends in the Diocese:

It has been my pleasure to serve in the Diocese of West Tennessee. I have enjoyed working with you as the Canon to the Ordinary and getting to know the wonderful people who live here. The Diocese is on a good path going forward and it is now time for me to pursue new opportunities. You all have my prayers and best wishes as you continue your good work in service to our Church.

May each of you have a blessed Advent and Christmas.

Sharon

I am grateful for all of Sharon’s contributions and wish her the best in her future endeavors.

Peace,

The Rt. Rev. Phoebe Roaf
